February 15th, 2007= The day my favorite band broke up...

You know...I've never had to go through such a silenced feeling my entire life...Audioslave was more than just a musical band or collaboration to me...they created me. I wouldn't a be half the person I am musically or generally if not for them. At the time of Audioslave's formation I was jumping up and down waiting for the debut of thier 1st cd. I even would run around and talk to my freinds about it during my 8th grade year for months and when it finally came out it they had me hooked at the first single. From then on, I began to look into Cornell's work and his life and everything, later becoming my role model. I soo wanted to write like he does...because his lyrics are soo uniquely done and said. All this leads to later on to what I am and I able to do...I don't think I would've even been a rapper...my rap is influenced by alot of rock. I really just don't know what to say...sometimes...there just isn't enough time for things to be said...because if I had said EVERYTHING that this band has done for me to change my life...I don't think it would be able to fit into this stupid journal. I could write 3 pages about how much they've changed me and what difference would it make? I know myself how much they mean to me...and don't need to show off my dedication to this band. Thier greatest hits cd will be coming out...but I have no clue when its gonna be announced...
I would like to say that I thank god for such a blessing like them. I pray the best things in life for Chris Cornell and the rest of Rage.(Morello for being such a kickass guitar player) and hope thier future is bright.
I support Cornell's decisions in life...sometimes you just gotta know when to go. Thats something that I am dealing with right now, but on a totally different subject...
Rest In Peace Audioslave(2001-2007)....I will ALWAYS remember this band and collaboration...may god be with you all.
