[17:35] cookie> oh check this out
[17:35] cookie> the security guard from the liquor store thats in teh shopping center where i work
[17:36] cookie> i signed him on verizon about a year ago and since then he comes in and i put his payment in for him through the phone with his card
[17:36] cookie> and thursday just liek once a month he comes in for teh same thing
[17:36] sway> i want to visit japan
[17:36] sway> but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
[17:37] sway> i can do it, but i don't want to pay that much
[17:37] sway> i could take 2-3 nice vacations in the US for the price of one trip to japan
[17:37] cookie> the reason he paid with his card and not by check was because hsi bill always arrived late to his house and he had changed his address on the address change slip that comes with the bill and thursday he was kind of fed up and i put him on with customer service
[17:37] cookie> so he bitched at them because they always fucked around and he never got teh bills on time
[17:37] cookie> so he does that about about 15 minutes and finishes
[17:38] cookie> and i proceed to pay his bill over the phone with his card
[17:38] cookie> and just liek every other time when i am done and i hand back his phone and card he shakes my hand and gives a good grip and pulls me closer to him and says
[17:39] cookie> "one of these days you just go over to teh liquor store and you charge me for this service"
[17:39] cookie> every time he's said that and i just blow it off because i'm just a nice guy
[17:39] cookie> and thursday was not a cold day however he had a jacket
[17:39] cookie> and i said "i liek that jacket"
[17:40] cookie> and he starts taking shit out and hands it to me and tells me to put it on
[17:40] cookie> now here's the thing
[17:40] cookie> all week people have been giving me tips
[17:40] cookie> 5 dollars here 2 dollars there
[17:41] cookie> and he gave me a suade jacket
[17:41] cookie> that was the highlight of my week
[17:42] cookie> i could work in an office or a huge store and go unnoticed but when you work close to the consumer and they know you by name and always go to you for their problems their thanks mean a lot more wether its a handshake or a leather jacket
[17:43] cookie> or just one big super huge vacation in vegas
[17:43] sway> i've only had two. chicago and pittsburgh
[17:43] sway> they were both three nights each, which is decent
[17:43] cookie> maybe i should copy that in LJ
[17:44] cookie> chicagoooo
[17:44] cookie> were there mexicans there?
[17:44] sway> i didn't really pay attention
[17:44] sway> i was mostly in a "CLEAN" area, also
[17:44] cookie> clean liek what no niggers or mexicans?
this is where i have trouble picking something to learn in school that will help me in life. do i want to sell or do i want to manage? do i want to be there for the customer or be behind the scenes? yeah i do want money and lots of it, but i need to enjoy what i do to make the rest of my life a smooth ride.
