I thought mayhaps I would make a substantive post
Friday we tried to play Shadowrun, but Guy and Kyle were gone, so that was not so succesfull. So Chally and Blue and I left and went to her place where, among other things, Geoff took a shot of moonshine from a coconut shell. Then we went to see Sin City. Sin City was awesome. Afterwards we watched some Freaks and Geeks and fell asleep on the biggest bed I have ever seen.
Saturday, after some sweet french toast, I went to Alex Krauss's house which was fun. It is easy to forget how he actually rules the world. Which he does. I am pretty sure that he willed the pope to death with his mind. Then I went with the other Alex to a sweet Thai restaurant, then I went back to Blue's where I got very very awesome.
Woke up this morning super-late and went to this glass-blower's studio. He did this awesome piece that looked like a metallic egg-shaped brain. Glasswork is pretty much the coolest thing ever. Then I went to Garrett's hockey game with Jon and Guy. He scored twice, and I took pictures of him. Hockey is amazing. It's both elegant and clumbsy. They do these really graceful moves on the ice and with the puck, but then they mindlessly slam into each other. Garrett's team (Beaverton) beat Grant 12 to 2.
But yeah... my hand is unbelievably gimpy. The first joint in my thumb... you know... the important one... doesn't move. It doesn't move when my brain says "move"... and it doesn't move when I actually try to bend it with the other hand. So I can't do dragonboats. Which means I need to start seriously training myself for whatever my summer adventures are.
So far I have:
Kenya... working on a farm for all of June
Backpacking the Sierras... 209 miles with the coolest guy in the world sometime in late July through early August.
Any other time, I will probably fill with sweet backpacking trips.
