AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a local LJ comm:

bunny and cage for sale!
Hey guys!!!

I just purchased a bunny about 2 weeks ago. My cat doesn't get along with her and I wanted to see if anyone wanted to buy her. =(

Bunny, cage and water bottle =$80.00 or obo.

Poster has not responded to any questions reguarding the bun's age, size, litter box training (or lack thereof), or whether "she" has been speutered. OP *has* clarified that "My cat got along with my 3 ferrets that I had. So I thought she would get along with the bunny. =( " 'Cuz, y'know... predators are generally willing to fraternize w/ prey animals as much as they are w/ other predators... :P

OP also hasn't responded w/ how much she'd consider for the bunny w/o the cage or water bottle.

That pic is so unspeakably awesome, I can hardly stand it (Himalayans were my first love... back when I was in HS & was considering raising a rabbit as an FFA "project"). I can easily justify to myself how I can fit another rabbit into this household, even if Meat never accepts "her".

Still, Squeezums pays the bills, & he makes hurty faces whenever I broach the subject of bringing any new animals into the household.

Normally, I'd just read this girl the standard riot act as applicable to buying bunnies (especially around Easter) when you're either not sure how that bunny is going to fit into your household, or you aren't willing to deal with complications w/ said "fittings".

Recently, though, I've been in a phenomenally crap mood & have been more than characteristically subdued by my telling somebody (on yet another message board) that she was basically an asshat for buying her 4th ferret from a pet store & having a number of people tell me that I was out of line.

Sometimes I just don't believe that the majority of the population are ever going to "learn".

And then I look at that pic of the poor bun who was given 2 weeks to learn to live w/ a cat, & is now being sold to the highest bidder.

It all makes me very, very sad.

ETA:

I just found this girl's MySpace, & I officially hate her (hate. Seriously).

:: how much is that bunny is the window? ::
Current mood: excited

my buddy kevin and i went to lunch today at panera over in waterford.

afterwards, we decided to hit petland. this one cute little bunny stood on its two feet as we walked by.

yup, i fell in love with her... so i bought her!

kevin took some pictures of her. she doesn't have a name yet...

I wanted to think the best of her... I really did.

But she impulse-bought an after-Easter bun in a petstore window, & is trying to sell it not even a *week* later because it "doesn't get along w/ her cat"?!

I am literally twitching with rage, now.

Holy crap, I hate people.

Maybe if I can talk this "person" into letting me have the bun for free, I can convince Squeezums to allow me to bring her home...

Fuck.

Now I'm crying.

Goddammit!
