So here's where that missing RP went...
Where: VietNam
Who: Hawk meatballsurge0n and Heather hardcorecheryl

The village was abandoned looking . The streets slightly overgrown . The houses looked like time was barely holding them together. Hoa was a little scared looking at the state of the village. No sign of explosive damage either. Just the overtone that people once where there.

She could see a bed mat in a small house . It was as if it was just abandoned for years.
--
Hawk himself was in no rush to follow the girl into the creepy village or anywhere- he'd have already been wary of her lest she was VC, but now as she had mentioned Silent Hill he was even more worried- but Radar needed help. He half dragged the petrified soldier with them as he tried to keep up with Heather. It didn't help that there were odd lights going off at intervals around them- shelling? no, that would have caused SOME injury by now. These were more like marshgas, perhaps; foo lights. or maybe as some old wives tales implied these were the souls of the dead, made incandescent by the night and their need to be seen in it for, as a song Heather'd once heard said, the dead shine all night long.
--
Hoa was looking around.

the place seemed to have orbs. She looked above them and found it kinda creepy to see a looming shadow over the town.

"Our way was blocked , we have to head through the town ." She stated. Where all these souls trapped here and by what. She could see a child ghost climb to the edge and a long armed thing pulled it back.

Caused her to shiver a bit more. Meanwhile Brax had shot down a fellow soldier. Screaming "Charlie!!!!" at the same time. Somewhere else in the village.
--
"Charlie, white courtesy telephone, please. pick up on line six." Hawkeye muttered. He knew what 'charlie' meant though, and he worried that Brax might have lost it, was seeing VCs where there were none. On the other hand....this was their turf. He was sure finding cover was a very good thing to do about now.

"Hope Charlie gets back to him soon, he sounds mad enough to spit."

"Oh, he sure does, sir." That was Radar, and Hawkeye was glad to hear him talking again.

"You're a sound for sore ears," Hawkeye quipped, "are you done being mad at me, or are you too scared of Brax to bother being mad at me?" he looked around for Heather. "come on, lead on. This is your mad goose chase, let's get on with it."
--
Hoa looked at them and listened for a moment. " Your army friend is firing on ghosts. It may be safe to duck into a building and hope the others are not in the same mode."

She headed into one of the houses. The last thing they needed was to be shot by a maniac. She needed to find the way and brax was not making it easy.
--
"Well, well, whoa, sir, wait sir!" Radar protested, to Hawkeye, not Heather."how do we know this is a good idea? I mean...ghosts..."

Hawkeye actually stopped to look at Radar. "Now look," he said, "either we rejoin our boys and run the risk of being mowed down since they're obviously jumping at...well, at everything, or we take the risk and lay low. Wait for a more....sensible platoon to pass. Now I say I'm more willing to take my chances on things that go bump in the night than things that go bang in my face, now are you coming or not?"

Radar didn't like this, but he saw no alternative. "Ok..."
--
Hoa headed into a room and carefully checked it. It was a kids room she could tell by the paper dolls. The brush and the small bed. The charm sat on the bureau.

"In here, we got a good view of anybody who gets in."
--
"Great." Hawkeye perused the little room. Not much furnishings. Typical, he had seen, in Asian houses. He often wondered how they could be comfortable with so little.

Radar had found a closet and was eyeing it hopefully.

Hawkeye found himself saying something he'd never thought he would ever say. "Radar. Give me your gun."
--
Hawk asking for a gun ? Hoa was not sure what was going on. She sat on the bed and was slightly puzzled. With Brax out there being an idiot and not to mention who else . This could be trouble. The dead city was a legend . The old man spoke of it . But more or less to avoid it. A cult worshiped it and she was not sure why.
--
Radar seemed worried by this request too, but he surrendered his gun to the surgeon.

Hawkeye kicked the few bits of furniture in front of the door- pointless, since it was a sliding door, and made of thin wood anyway, but perhaps the stuff in the way would slow down any approaching enemy anyhow.

He took up sniper position just next to the window, and then? he waited.

Just in case.

He would stay this way for hours, shaking with stress and the horror of actually having to hold a gun, until the danger passed.
--
Heather could hear more shots and she ducked down low. Then it seemed to die down.

Heather got up not really thinking it could restart soon. "This is crazy."

Meanwhile a dead soldier got up. His chest might have been full of holes but he got up. Blank eyes and at that moment the temperature seemed to have a slight unnatural drop.
--
Hawkeye was nodding off at his post. He missed this supernatural little event.

Radar was hiding in the closet.
--
Heather jumped fifty feet well almost did. Did they just pass through walls. Now the creepy crawlies came out. This was not the best place in the world. Plus what zombie things not a pleasant situation.
--
Sadako stepped into the room . "They're rising , they're dead and rising not many of them but they seek your chi and they can will try to get it." She stated in a matter of fact voice.

The Japanese girl tried to warn them. The town was bringing people in.
--

((note- Tsu and Jess were also doing a scene with Sadako and one of Tsu's Cs, but as no one told me they were going to connect, I didn't end up logging it. D: sorry gals!))
