Where:VietNam. 1959? or later? who can tell, and how had he come to be here?

She was heading down the road. Not sure what was happening. The same feeling that Claudia had caused her was caused again. She could remember the old man call for her.
"Hoa... Hoa.."
Before she was konked out. Next thing she knew she was in a house . She was surprised she was able to sneak out. The rocky roads and lack of pavement hurt her feet. She could read the signs those that where standing.
At points she veered into the jungle to avoid soldiers.
"Here I am with people thinking I'm chosen again."

Hawkeye tried talking with Radar a few times, but Radar seemed determined to not talk to him.
Guilt for having killed the previous doctor? or had he decided somehow that Hawk had done something he hadn't?
"At least tell me what it is I've done wrong so I can do something about it." he pleaded as Radar marched resolutely on, not looking at him, but Radar would have none of it.
"There's a village ahead, sir." he told Brax. "what are your orders sir, so I can pass them down the line to the enlisted men so they know they have orders before you give the order, sir?"

Heather headed for the site of the village. She could see the sign that had other letters written over prior ones. chet_thanh_pho it said . She was having trouble reading what was under the vandalized sign. She knew what it meant though. The dead city. Still seemed far enough away but why would some one right that on a sign.
She heard voices from down the road . Hid in the tall grass.

"We'll check it out , see if there are any supplies. We let another unit in on it we may be out of luck." Brax wasn't telling them something. holding something back . " Frankman take the point we are going in."
Hawk had no idea where it was they were going, but as they passed the sign he was a bit concerned. What was the graffittied kanji written in? it looked like blood...
"Stay frosty,folks. Hawkeye, doctors never stay up front ." He stated coldly. Brax noticed a bush move jumpy as hell he aimed right at it.
"Radar check it out ."
"Hey! You're not sending him in first, he's only a--." both Brax and Radar glared at him for saying that. Radar may have been a kid once, but he was surely a man now. He HAD killed during this war, after all.
There was an entrance to one of the tunnels behind the bush. Radar was the only man slight enough to fit into the tunnels the VC had dug.

Heather watched a moment. She had not seen the entrance. Was not long before she saw people running. They had weapons but something felt wrong. Her eyes caught something that moved. It did not seem human. That was what she was seeing on her end.

Brax was a bit worried but not too worried. Radar knew what to do. He trusted Radar in this kind of situation. The hole was empty except for money .that was not a common thing to have there. American money was sitting in the tunnels.
Something- a breath of some sort of foul air- travelled up the tunnel, past Radar. Like some old, foul horrid thing moving on....
In another area VCs burst up out of another entrance like red ants. They ran blind, as if panicked, and running for their lives.
Most of Hawk's small battalion started firing on them, so Hawkeye backed up.
He wanted to get to Radar, but he was, of course, terrified of enclosed places...
"Dúng cú dông!" a VC was behind him. Hawkeye only had time to see Radar, sort of half-lying against the cave wall, looking overwhelmed, before his full attention was on the man pointing a gun at him, Hawkeye.
Hawk put his hands in the air, slowly.
Nothing else mattered but himself and the man taking him hostage. He stared down the barrel of that gun....
it was then the odd air puffed up and out of the tunnel, and like an invisible tendril, it quested, sniffing for something, and plunged with deadly accuracy into the VC threatening Hawkeye.
Hawk saw...something move across the man, and then it seemed as if blood blossomed everywhere upon the man at once, who ran, screaming as though he was on fire.

Heather was nearly grabbed and ran out of the hiding spot. Seeing Hawkeye she was relieved to see him. Brax watched a fellow soldier get ripped apart. His heart raced and he split screaming. "Run for the city."
Heather was not sure that was a good idea. She picked up a gun and tried to blast some tendrils away from Radar and Hawkeye. Screaming
"Theo!" It came out because it was spoken in Vietnamese. Theo means follow.

Hawkeye reached for Radar and managed to pull him clear of the hole, but he'd plainly seen something that had scared him. He seemed unresponsive.
This was no time for him to get like this!
A frantic Vietnamese girl was just standing there, shouting at him. Hawkeye had no idea who she was, what she wanted, or what she was saying. "Look, I didn't do it." he yelled back at her.

She tossed the gun down. Hearing the last click .
Trying to remember english . "This way I out of bullets ."

"well, thank god, or someone for small favors." He didn't know where else to go, so he led Radar to follow Heather.

She did not trust there escape route to be the same way. She was heading further in .
" City of Dead ." She stated. Looking at another sign . "My name is
Hoa " she meant to say Heather but her brain translated diferently.
"Silent Hill , I was there . Built a door ."
