Prop 7 as well as Prop 10 are wolves in sheep's clothing.

I know more about 10 then 7, but when every major environmental group in the state agrees with the republicans on not liking it...it definitly makes me curious. It seems like it was written to get voted in by people who do not read closely, and it is riddled with what seem to be very intentional loopholes which will actually allow the energy industry to do LESS for the environment then current policy dictates. I'm no scholar on it, but i've read enough people who are to go along with the No vote. Plus there was a very informative "Forum" show on this issue a couple weeks ago (<3<3 NPR) and the proponents of 7 just got destroyed by the people on the show arguing against...wish i could remember more of the points ( ... )

jawn, you are kind of awesome.

I ended up going no on 10 and 7. But it frustrates me because they are both so misleading. I started catching on something was wrong when I saw the list of supporters/non-supporters on both the props. That's when I went delving a bit.

Yes on 7 somethinwitty November 4 2008, 19:20:22 UTC
Vote YES on 7. I'm sorry that you have been confused by the opposition but the No on 7 has $30 Million to deceive the public perpetually. Why so rich? They are funded by PG&E, SoCal Edison, and SEMPRA utilities. Yes on 7 is funded by Education and supported by 4 Nobel prize winnning Environmental Scientists.
Bottom line:if the utilities have to use and develop more clean energy quickly, they lose money on burning coal.
Don't believe they are in the pocket of Big Coal? Check out the head of the Sierra Club who is supposed to be on our side:
