Ok, this is Krista, writing in Meatball's journal.. because I have a kitty concern.
I went on a trip last weekend, I wasn't gone long, 2.5 days and the neighbor came over to see Meatball twice. When I came home, he was really happy to see me, lots of kitty kisses and he slept on my head.
Well, I have been home for 5 days now, and Meatball still seems really upset when I leave the house. He tries to race out the front door. I can hear him meowling through the open window. When I get home he is always sitting by the front door, right where I left him. No matter how long I am gone. I was gone for 6 hours today while getting my car fixed and he was still sitting in the downstairs foyer when I came home..
When I am home Meatball doesn't leave my side. He follows me from room to room. Right now he is sleeping on the desk next to me with his front paw on my arm. If I move my arm away he wakes up and cries.
I have been unemployed for a while, and spend my day puttering around the apartment playing with him. I am starting to worry how he is going to handle me going back to work. :o( I have had several other kitties in my life, but none have ever acted this attached..
