“OhGamJa~”

Yeonyi huffed at the nickname, spinning around to hit the unsuspecting victim. She was rewarded with a strangled yelp and a pained look from the receiver of her actions.

“Yah…why such violence? I just got out of the hospital, you know…” Bong Goon pouted, looking the part of a kicked puppy (a gigantic one at that).

“Don’t pout, Bong Goon-ah, it makes you look ugly…and what have I said about you calling me that?” the nutritionist retorted, refusing to face the tall male.

“Is that how you treat someone who’s just recovering?”

The question came with an even bigger attempt to look like a pitiful mess, nearly tempting Yeonyi to let up. She, however, was not done yet.

“Like the way you just wandered off without telling me?”

“Oh come on, OhGamJa…I already apologized for that!” Bong Goon whined, not at all sounding like a semi-professional soccer player.

The nutritionist took an intimidating step forward and glared at the startled male.

“You disappear when I to return to visit you, I’m told by the doctors that you had an attack while wandering the halls, that you refused to return to your room so that you could rest, then you never mention that you were friends with, let alone met, the famous fashion designer Shin Jae Joon, and last, but not the very least, I told you to never ever call me that.”

Thoroughly terrified, Bong Goon took a tentative gulp of fear and he nervously grinned at his long time best friend before nodding in response to her statement.

“Good!” Yeonyi smiled, brushing off some dirt from his clothes, her attitude taking a 180-degree turn so fast that it almost left him dizzy.

“Bong Goon-ah! Yeonyi-sshi!”

The pair turned at the call to see the raven-haired man clad in head-to-toe in designer clothes, complete with the boots and sunglasses. Bong Goon raised a brow in amusement while Yeonyi bowed in respect as the young CEO came to a stop near them, while bowing slightly in return to the nutritionist.

“I’m sorry again for stealing Bong Goon without notice, Yeonyi-sshi,” said Jae Joon, rubbing his nape embarrassedly, quickly glancing at the tallest of the three.

“Oh no, don’t apologize, Jae Joon-sshi, it was all this pabo’s over here,” she replied, pointing at the stunned soccer player.

“Hey! I’m not-oommf!”

Jae Joon watched, shocked as Yeonyi elbowed Bong Goon, the sweet (and now relatively creepy) smile still on her face.

“Ignore him, he’s being stubborn,” said Yeonyi, as if there wasn’t a hunched over, heaving figure beside her.

Before Jae Joon could reply, a ringtone blared out, only silenced as Yeonyi answered her phone. It was amusing, Jae Joon had to admit, seeing the nutritionist have a normal phone conversation while her best friend was (over)dramatically crouching in pain next to her. Before he could make a move, Yeonyi had already ended her call, and turned her attention back to him.

“I’m being called back at the center,” she explained. “But I’m sure this lazy bum for a soccer player can accompany you, Jae Joon-sshi.”

“Yah!”

“It was nice meeting you, Jae Joon-sshi,” Yeonyi smiled, before finally looking down at the hunched male. “You better be back at practice soon, Bong Goon-ah.”

“But you injured me…” replied the male, whining brought to the max now that the nutritionist’s attention was back on him.

“Aish, you…will you get better if I cook you lunch?”

“Really?” Bong Goon replied, sitting back up with such a big smile on his face that Jae Joon could have sworn that if the taller man had a tail, it would be wagging enthusiastically. “You’re the best Yeonyi-ah!”

With that Bong Goon quickly stood up and wrapped his arms around the woman in a bear hug, despite the playful protests of the nutritionist.

“Bong Goon-ah! I really need to get to the center already!” Yeonyi shrieked, laughing even as Bong Goon put her down. Jae Joon grinned at the image the two friends made.

‘Tail still wagging,’ he thought in amusement, staring at the form of the bigger male.

“Well, I really have to go,” Yeonyi stated in finality. “It was nice meeting you, Jae Joon-sshi”

“Likewise,” he smiled, returning the bow once again.

“Bong Goon-ah, be good!” she said as she hugged the tall male in farewell.

“Yes ma’am!” he laughed, hugging her more gently this time.

As she finally left for the center, Jae Joon turned to the male by his side, a smile creeping up on his face, as the other’s positivity was contagious.

“You’re really close, huh?”

“Mmm…” Bong Goon affirmed, turning his gaze to the smaller man. “I’ve known her since forever…she’s a precious person to me.”

“Precious person?”

“Saying she’s my friend kind of demeans our relationship…don’t you think?”

Thinking back on the exchanged he felt he was blessed to witness, Jae Joon found himself inclined to agree.

“So what do you want to do today?” Bong Goon suddenly asked, looking pensive.

“What?”

“I’ve got the day-off…it’s Friday…I don’t have to report to the center until Monday…and I am NOT letting you get back to work after all that mail you had to deliver for the past I-don’t-know-how-long.”

“Bong Goon-ah-”

“What? I can’t hang out with my precious person?” Bong Goon asked, slinging an arm around the designer, holding him close.

Needless to say, Jae Joon was caught off-guard.

“I…I’m your-but I thought that Yeonyi-sshi…”

“I can have more than one precious persons in my life, yea?” Bong Goon grinned, walking off to one of his favorite areas of the city.

“But we’re-”

“Jae, we’ve been in a coma together, I think that makes us close,” laughed the taller male, yet still managing to be completely serious at the same time. “Now come on! I’m hungry, and I’m sure you are too, so let’s eat before enjoying the day!”

“Are you always this hyper when you’re alive, Bonggoonie?” Jae Joon kidded, laughing at the man’s energy.

“So many things to do, so little time,” the other sighed dramatically, making the smaller male laugh even louder.

“I take that as a yes.”

As the two men walked off to enjoy the weekend, with expectations of more fun and laugher, with their phones now with matching feather charms, there was an unspoken promise that this was just the beginning of something big.

Two men meeting in unheard of circumstances, both in a coma, both not sure how to get back, but in the end, they found each other, twice, halfway where they needed to be.

And somewhere in the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful field next to a red postbox, sat a messenger bag and a soccer ball, side by side, for all eternity.

A/N: NINJA UPDATE! XD XD XD

Aww…it’s actually done. I hope you all enjoyed this while it lasted! 8D

Just so you guys know, yes, this will be a universe…but updates will most likely not be quick. Oh, and not to worry, in this universe, what Yeonyi and Bong Goon have is purely platonic. I would have loved them to get together in the series though…despite it being obvious from the start that who was ending up with whom. Regarding Jae Joon’s career…I never watched it, so I’m just going to make him a fashion designer…if I’m right, then I’m right, if I’m not…well, it suits him, anyway. XD XD XD

Well…I dunno whether or not I can get the other oneshots up as quickly though…but I have their plots roughtly sketched out. Hope you guys wait for ‘em though! :D

Until next time…buh-bye! 8D
