i'm not so sure i'm right here…but, hell, you try writing jin/claire
you know, just don't read this one

Claire knows that Jin is an old-fashioned man. It's obvious in the way he's always looked at her, with that same respect and protectiveness with which he sees Sun. When she was the scared pregnant girl and now that she's the scared mother, she always had the sense that Jin understood it, better than Jack with his sterile, rational worry and Charlie with his clueless hovering. She knows they mean well-they're nothing if not sincere-but they so often fail to give her any sense of comfort. It's funny how Jin, so volatile and so unknown to her, seems the give her the most sense of security. Charlie might've walked toward the black smoke to get her baby back, but she puts even greater faith-with no evidence-in Jin: he fights not for the mother but for the baby; he seems to trust Sun to take care of herself.

jin, story note: blech!, claire
