PERSONALITY:
At the core of who Raven is, she is adaptable. It transcends her ability to morphine into any person, but who she is as a person. Not much is known about her early life, but she lived and survived on the streets for some time. Then sh goes to live with Charles. He needs to have someone like him in his life. Raven fills that need. She is the little sister, because he wants her to be. She takes him ordering her colas. She takes his inability to look at her in her true form. Raven hides for him.
Then she meets Hank. Hank is someone else with a physical mutation. He understands her insecurities, something Charles calls vain. It isn't that she is haughty, but she wants to be accepted. So she blends in. When she's with him, she mirrors his wants. She wants the serum at first because it would allow her to become normal looking.
But then when she starts to get closer to Erik, she starts to see things his way. She adapts to his views that she doesn't need to conform to human society. He is th first person to tell her that she is beautiful in her true form. Charles was so Buffy protecting her, he never saw her. He did essentially keep'em her as a pet. With Erik she was allowed to be free. Which is how she's later turned into his right hand man. She needs to be wanted. Erik sees her potential, and she decides to go with him in the end.
Raven is immensely loyal though. She stuck through Charles and his arrogance. He gave her a home. When Shaw attacked the CIA building, Raven did not go with him. She only went with Erik after checking on Charles. She didn't know he couldn't walk and he told her to go. She went with someone who needed her more, or so she thought.
Raven goes through a journey of accepting herself. In th beginning she's seen mocking a young woman who uses the term 'mutant and proud'. She thinks it's preposterous. How could she ever be proud of being blue? But through building comradery with other mutants and learnin how to gain more control, Raven comes to not only accept herself, but try and get Hank to believe in himself as well. She's gained a new sense of self. She's a lot stronger than she was. Raven even wants to do more.
ABILITIES: Shapeshifting. Mystique can transform into any person.
POSSESSIONS: Nothing. Her clothes are actually her cells.

JOURNAL ENTRY SAMPLE:
[The feed clicks on and a blue female with scaly skin with red hair and yellow eyes is looking flatly into the camera. It wasn't completely hard to figure out.]
Charles, if this I some bizarre dreamless and you're in my head, not only will I be entirely angry that you've broken your promise about going into my mind, but I'm still not happy about our last conversation. I'm not some doll you can pull out and play with. If you haven't forgotten, we're supposed to go to Cuba tomorrow. [The progression of her speech has just made her all the more angry at him. But this isn't a joke and the anger is a mask for fear. She swallows hard.]
This isn't funny any more. Please, Charles. [She's partially pleading here. She needs this to be some whacked out dream, because the reality is too terrifying to deal with. And she's desperately hoping he's there. Which is why the video is addressed to him. With a moment to compose herself, she mildly looks down into her lap. The feed cuts off after that.]
THIRD-PERSON SAMPLE:
She didn't understand the nature of this place. Fear of the unknown could easily grip her. But the fact of th matter was that Raven was there. She took a breath before taking a shaky step outside. She could to this. It was just another reality. There was still people there that could judge her, but just like back home, she'd made the decision to be blue and beautiful. This was who she was, just somewhere else.
Only it seemed Erik and Charles were from after her. If it wasn't hard dealing with a new place, there was the people she knew. She was no longer upset with Charles for how their relationship had become mangled. He needed his sister. Which is precisely where she was going. It was like a spear to the heart, making her pull in ragged breaths to her lungs to think of him harmed. How could it have happened?
And what of Erik? How did she handle the only man that had made sense of her mutation? Sure she'd attempted to make him a rebound, but she knew he would want her. Though she wasn't sure in which way. It didn't entirely matter though, did it? He had empowered her. He was the reason she could walk around blue and naked.
If only Hank could see it that way. Raven frowned at the thought. He hadn't taken the serum, yet. He didn't need to her in her eyes. He was amazing. Brilliant, charming, and like her. Only how she used to be. The blue mutant wanted him to see how truly unique and amazing he was, but he couldn't see the same in her. He broke her heart by not accepting her, but here - here it was different. They needed to stick together. No matter what, Raven would be there for him.
For all of them. To be the sister, the ally, the support. Whatever.
These thoughts managed to pull her into a reverie deep enough that she hadn't realized she'd made it to Charles' door until she was there. Shifting to her blonde and pale look on instinct, she knocked on the door. He needed this, she told herself.
