Lima Bean seemed to be the only place suitable to socialize anymore. The atmosphere was calmer. The music was nicer. It also made everyone feel maturer for some reason. It was a new change for everyone, but it was a good change.
"Listen sweetie, I know people." Kurt praised to Rachel.
"Oh really? Ok, try me then." Rachel challenged.
"Fine. You're about to take your hair and roll your fingers along it, and admire yourself on Broadway."
Rachel rolls her hair down her hair, imagining herself singing "Defying Gravity" on the Broadway stage.
"OMG WOW." Rachel surprised and laughed. "Ok fine. I'm going to pick a random person out of nowhere here. And if you get it wrong. You owe me coffee, but if you get it right, I'll owe you one. Deal?"
Challenge accepted thought Kurt, "Ok. Choose." Rachel looked around the artistic colored store and spotted a dark curly haired boy in a unusually familiar blue blazer and she pointed, "Him." Kurt looked over. Eyes widened, heart racing, he thought "Who the hell is that."
"Ok fine. Lemme see." Kurt pondered for a bit. "Ah-hah! I know his type. The "I don't have enough gel for my hair to last a day-I am a spoiled rich brat-Who tries to act cute by innocently sitting alone listening to a Katy Perry song-while I read the business section of the new times, ohio."
Rachel looked at him.. "Like, how do you even know this?" and she looked around and puzzled.. "Wait....how are we suppose to even judge this competition? Because I really want that Coffee." Kurt also just realized the same also. "Me too" he responded.
Rachel and Kurt looked at each other for a moment. Both thinking the same thing. "OH NO, I am not going over there, randomly and asking him what is life is all about. People think I'm crazy enough." Kurt agreed, "This is true....Fine I'll go talk to him."
Kurt lifted from his leather seat, and walked across the restaurant and plopped next to the dark skinned, dark haired boy.
"Hi. I'm about to pretend to talk about the competition me and my friend are having. And she thinks I am telling you my point of you and you just nod okay. The boy nodded puzzled. "Perfect. Now I'll leave you back to your.....Wait, sports? You are reading the sports section of the newspaper?" Kurt shocked.
"...Am I not allowed to?" The boy looking around as if there are spies watching him. "No..No, I'm just.. wow, just surprised. Ok well, I'm going now, thanks, I owe you one, considering now that girl owes me a coffee." Kurt said as he gets up from his seat.
"Ok... I'm confused. You do owe me one because I want to know what just happened. Oh and by the way, my name is Blaine."
"Blaine huh... Ok fine, here's my number. I promise I'll explain the story to you, another day." Kurt responded.
"But wait, you never told me your name."
As he walked away Kurt looked back at him and responded, "Kurt.. my name's Kurt."
