Mostly, I am just sucked into this, and there is just so much going on with amazing characterization, but here is a comment...

He wasn’t sure how he felt about that ingrained defensiveness on Sylar’s part. A tiny, hated part of himself was amused that Sylar was wary of him. Mostly though he felt embarrassed. It brought back all the thoughts he’d entertained so willingly, before, about hurting the man. Now that he was faced with the flesh (so to speak), it was less appealing. And to actually see him jerk back from a casual touch…Peter wasn’t sure at all how he felt about that.Oh, Peter knows how he feels, he doesn't like it. he doesn't like feeling like an aggressor, as someone other people are afraid of. And Sylar has every reason at this point to be afraid of Peter after what happened last time. Their roles have almost reversed at this point, with Peter as the dominant, violent one. Sylar's been getting more and more submissive with every encounter they've had, until here they are, with him hunched over and defending himself with a ( ... )

Yeah, you're right - Peter knows how he feels and he doesn't like it (for the most part - there is a part of him that likes it; as you said, this is a darker Peter than most).

And yeah, Meanie does beautiful things with Sylar's thought processes.

Sylar's mind - a filthy diner! :D Some day, Peter will be taking a dump or a piss or a shower or wanking off or waking up and he'll suddenly remember "I'm in Sylar's head!" :D

I'm so glad you're getting sucked into it, and that you understand/saw it as a journey, because yeah, that's what it is.

"God, it felt like he had never been special at all. The blood and torture and travel and violence and tears, the betrayal, the loneliness… Let that not be for nothing." Oh, that is so good. His life was so much less than happy, but it's his life, and he wants it to mean something ( ... )

Forgot to say that I love how Sylar reads constantly, even while cooking. Like he can't stand for one second to be reminded of his reality. It's very horrifying. Somewhere you say that he wants to scream all the time. ::shudder:: I love it! I am interested to see if he reads less with Peter there. If he becomes more comfortable in reality now that he's not alone it it anymore.

You Sylar muse deserves a party!

Yay! Both of the guys are pretty stuck, still trying to wrap their minds around the fact that they can't get out and can't avoid each other.

Thanks so much for the review!
