Well, 48 hours from right now I will be sitting with my seatback up, tray table locked and seatbelt on, waiting for the ground crew to pull the chocks so the plane can start rolling for the runway. At 7:07am the puddle jumper with wings will aim for the sky to start me on my way to Miami. Even though I won't be getting to see much of the great outdoors while I am there; I checked the forecast on NWS and Weather Channel to know what kind of clothes to pack. Highs in the mid-70's, lows in the 60's, with chance of showers every day until the day I come home. Fifty-plus degrees warmer than it is here, no muc-lucs required.
Tonight's agenda is pay the bills, watch NCIS, then get all the stuff I want to take organized so I can start packing. Oh yeah, have to hit Google Maps too. Since the 836-I95 route is NOT a drive I want to make in an unknown rental car, I need a map to show me how to get there on the surface streets. It may take a little longer driving, but I won't be a nervous wreck when I pull into the parking lot.
Time to go see if the car doors are still frozen. I love driving the NewT, but it is such a gas hog. Luckily for me, its doors never freeze shut.
