Itinerary:
Thursday
Spread my wings to leave Fort Fun at 7:02am. Wearily flapping my arms to come down softly in (hopefully) sunny southern FL at noon:07.
Flag down the courtesy bus to take me to get my sardine can on wheels. Promise to give them my first born if I damage their tin can; my second born if I bring it back empty.
Brave the drivers who think they are in armored vehicles going around a figure-8 track to get to Bayshore Drive.
Depending on the situation, either look for Mercy or dig out my five quarters to throw at the causeway troll.
Spend time with DKH-P.
Check in to Sonesta Beach on KB sometime after 4pm.
Spend more time with DKH-P.....
Friday-Saturday
DKH-P time
eat occasionally
sleep once in a while
walk the beach at least once
squawk at the sea gulls
Sunday
Find back roads to airport
Turn in car
Hitchhike to terminal
Start flapping my arms at 9:38am
Return to The Fort hoping George has the taxi parked out front at 2:37pm
This only gives me two-and-a-half days to spend time with Deb. Should have booked it when I first started looking, that would have gotten me out later on Sunday and a less expensive place to stay. But I want to be close to where she is and this is actually the best if she is home, or fairly close if she is still in the hospital.
