Might as well make good on a writing resolution while the spark is still in me. Not sure if it will continue on this ghost town, but it might.. so stick around.
Finally got to hang out with Ben/Amy/Jimmie Chips last night. Stacey and I met up with them at a bowling alley on New Years. Stacey and I rocked our boxers off in the first game, I got 145 and she got 148 I think. And for some reason when we drank more alcohol our scores suffered. That's odd. Usually it has a bell-curve affect for each of us... but starting out that hot I can see why tonight would not be the norm.
We had a $2 bet between six of us on the 3rd and final game of the night and Ben tore us all a new one... I don't think he had an open frame until the 8th frame. He hit 162 after cooling down in the last few frames. I told him if he hit 200 we all get our money back. But the prize money went towards a good cause in the name of Sierra, from Nevada... who went down smooth.
Ben and Amy busted out Trivial Pursuit... 90's style. I demanded to be on the team of 3 because I downright suck at every Trivia game I've ever played. Tonight was eerily different.
The highlight of the game was Ben and Amy's house rule: Everytime you are going for a piece of pie you have to say, "For Pie, Bitches!" Now we were drinking, not heavily, but if we were drinking heavily I still don't think we would have ever missed this rule. It is like.. waking up and hitting snooze.. saying "FOR PIE, BITCHES!!" was automatica everytime a team was going for pie.
Stacey, Ben, and I ended up trouncing the other teams because we each could cover a category or two. I answered one about a hockey goalie.. and the only hockey goalie's name that I could come up with was Dominik Hasek.. FOR PIE BITCHES!!! and it was golden. Ben brought us the victory with some crazy answer that I would have never guessed, do you remember Stacey?
