i haven't written in this thing for a pretty good while now. Right at the moment, I can't think of anything really that is new and intresting. I'm pretty much just waiting for my firewire drive to be finished working on. Lately, I've been trying to keep myself busy with work and such. Since I can't remember what i wrote about in the last entry, I'll just pick a random spot in time and start writting from there. So a about theree weeks or so (man has it really been that long since i wrote in here?) I got a job at the candy shop Danielle works at. Known as River Street Sweets. I really like it there. A lot better then Loews theater back home. The general manager back home was such an asshole. The general manager at RSS is a lot better in my view. He's not as much as a hardass with the workers and I think that is very important. If your really hard on the employees under you and make them do pointless things all the time, the working enviorment will be very unlikeable. That will make the employees not want to work as much. But at RSS, Chris who is the general manager, is a much cooler guy and makes the working enviorment a much nicer place. He's a laidback guy but still gets what needs to be done, get done. He just seems to work much more efficently then John did back at Loews. Like for example, Chris hires a lot of college students to work at the shop. He knows that being a student at SCAD is very hard at times. What's really good about Chris is that he is cool with you not being able to work one day. All you have to do is to find a replacement for your shift and everything will be cool. He understands that it takes a lot of hard work to go to SCAD, being that it is one of the hardest schools in the country to actually stay in, and then have a job on top of it. John at Loews wouldn't be as commadating. He would be more like, "O well, you didn't say anything before we made the schedule. ¥ou have to come now." Or something along those lines. I just find that i am a lot more comfortable working aty the candy shop. yeah it's not a great job, but it's a job for now. After i graduate will be the time to go after the big jobs. That and the summers i home from school. The summers will be the time that I try to get the internships. I already have one under my bealt. And if these possibilities that my father has through people he knows pull through, I might have another one this summer. Hopefully if i get one of them, i can also get paid. At this point though, i will be willing to take any internship if it will get my foot in the door a little more. So i have 2 possibilities. One one in NYC and the other in Philly. Not too sure about the one in Philly though. If i get it, it will mean i will have to find a place to stay down there and also i would have to be away from my family and friends for even longer. And i already have spent close to a half a year away from everyone by the time this quarter ends. Even though philly is a lot closer to home then Savannah is. I still might have the possibility of coming back home every so often. But I don't know how much danielle would like me being away for that long. Well I'll see what happens. Whichever one proves to be the better one if i can get them at all. Well, I better get going. The Tech guy downstairs is prolly finished with my firewire drive by now. And I have tons of work to do this weekend. So I'll try to come on later and write some more about what has been going on lately.
