In this week's episode of Things I Should Have Realised Much Sooner, Emma discovers that Andy Serkis had a leading on-screen role in
Suddenly 30/13 Going on 30, a film she has seen at least three times. Whoopsie!
Today was a good day with a bad ending. Went to movie/lunch with a friend only to be caught with an unvalidated ticket after embarking on the tram in the middle of an engrossing conversation. Neither of us had validated and they only asked us two stops after we got on, so it was pretty obvious that we were telling the truth. Plus the unvalidated ticket was monthly, so I didn't seem like some kind of desperate, lying teen on the town or anything dubious, and I obviously was a good commuter caught at a bad time. The dudes let me keep the ticket too, which was nice, since I've heard that they sometimes confiscate them as some bullshit form of 'evidence'. Still, it upset me to get caught out, since it is rather intimidating the way they gang up on you and wear plain clothes with their stupid little badges flashing in your face, like some scene from a bad cop movie. Also, I am fundamentally a Good Girl and hate any kind of trouble or confrontation with an authority figure, so the whole thing rattled me a bit. What can I say, I've been well-conditioned by school.
Hopefully an Evening with Kong will improve my day. Any takers?
