this week
I decided to be less of a hermit. I went to visit the Berryhills, the Ingli (sorry Dave, but that's your plural) and Nate. Waffle and Mac Arthur cruised up, so it was jam packed and absolutely great to hang out again. I'm resolved to doing it more!!
I got a tad bit of a raise this week, as my job title changed from Mainframe Operator to Applications Support Administrator. Nothing to brag about at all, but every extra dollar helps out.
My kid turned 15 and is now a sophmore. He's blowing me off this weekend (i don't mind him having his space. now's the time) so he can play Soul Calibre IV with this buddies. I don't know if he knows it's a 3 day weekend...he's kind of oblivious to that shit. So he may still call for me to pick him up.
I get monday off! YAY!!!!!
And my new job irks me. My reference materials are the electronic help files. I'm not set up to call for support (if i'm not on this list they won't talk to me) or to view the knowledge bases. So I'm basically screwing off till tuesday. Internet window shopping. But I'm getting real serious about this Wind Power Installation/QME spot Waffle is trying to get me. It's almost twice the money I'm making now. A full 6 figures if I work my ass off. We'll see how that pans out though....courting these guys is a real bitch.
