She hated the cold. She hated the way it would creep into her bones, chilling her almost as much from within as from without. Those days on the ice were still with her even though they'd been home for nearly a week. Even with the amount of heat the creature had tried to create on the ship, she had still felt the cold deep in her bones. She wasn't made for that type of climate. She needed heat, needed to be warm. It was something that was almost instinctive in her, this craving to be warm.
Finally though she felt warm. She stretched cat-like as she basked in the warmth of the sun.
There was nothing like the heat of a warm summer's day at the beach.
