igby goes down...

Today was another massively hot day but i hardly went outside. I had nothing to do so i stayed inside and watched movies and baked brownies! it was so cold inside my house that i wore pants! life is great, isn't it? amoung the movies i watched today i would say my favorite was Igby Goes Down. i also watched How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, which by the was the first movie i saw with brian so it just made me annoyed because he told people that i used him but what i used him for is a mystery. Election was on tv and i caught most of it and i actually enjoyed it for the most part.
Lets talk about Igby. It is about a rich teenage boy who seems like he should be very happy because his money could buy him anything. i guess this movie is a classic example of the infamous cliche, money can't buy happiness. anyways, igby gets kicked out of every school he attends and he enjoys his drugs as much as the average junkie. his mom thinks he is a disgrace, his brother is perfect and his father is in the nut house because he is psychotic. it is just a great movie about human emotion and feeling. it just shows that people with everything, materially speaking, are just as troubled as the rest of us and they go through the same problems. two scenes from the movie really got to me, one got me thinking and the other made me cry. this movie ranks up high on my list. if you enjoyed O, Requiem for a Dream or any other dark movie you would enjoy this, even though its a little more upbeat.

Humans really fascinate me. it may sound corny but its true. today in blockbuster i realized that you can tell a lot about a person by the movies that they pick out to watch. try it sometime. try to analyze someone by their movie choice. its very interesting really. trust me.

"Something in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself
Makes me wanna lose myself, in your arms
There's something in your voice, makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts, the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done..."

What if i told you all that i wrote those lyrics? would you believe me? i heard them today in How to Lose A Guy and i cried a little and im not sure why, was it the movie or was it just...
