spring is definately here
between the rain and more rain i've been busting my back and my butt to get the garden in shape. got a good size vegetable gardent his year and have spent the last couple of weekends landscaping the front. This weekend i went down to my folks to supposedly rest and ended up helping mom clean out her garden bed. no rest for the wicked i guess. i am trying corn and green beans for the first time this year. crosses fingers for a good crop.
folks are doing ok and so are my brothers. my neice was being a total redneck this weekend. she was playing her uncles hunting game of killing deer. only she was killing everything in sight. O.O rabbits, squirrels turkeys you name it, it moved she shot it. what made me giggle is she was wearing her camo baseball cap while she was playing. i didnt have the hear to tell her green camo and pink shirts really dont match.
My brother and his wife did take her out of the school system. she is getting private tudor/home schooled by a certified lady. And she is improving so much. her math skills and reading skills have doubled in the last few months. This aldy teaches up to middle school after that Manon will go back to public school to finish out her education. With her dislexia (bad sp sorry) she just wasn't getting the attention and help she needed at school. It was a smart move my brother made. And Manon was hating school at 7! at 7 didnt even know you could not like it. So home school it is for her.
