goddamn body shop is trying to screw me over! just because im some kid who walked in their door with a smashed up car, they think they can take advantage of me! well im sorry, but i cant afford to get screwed over, they probably think my parents pay for everything i do and they can just feed me a line of shit and "daddy" will pay for it without asking any questions.
how exactly does a quote of $1300 turn into $1800+ because of ONE car part that didnt get caught on the first appraisal??? how exactly is that possible, someone explain it to me! heres the deal, the apron panel on the front of the car got dented, apparently at the cost of $500 parts and labor. heres the problem, its a fucking piece of sheet metal behind the bumper that is held on by FOUR fucking screws! you take the panel off, hammer out the dents, and put it back on! but NO, they had to feed me a line of shit about how its a structural issue, that the panel holds in part of the engine, and those parts wont fit in right if the apron is dented. except thats not true, because the apron panel has nothing to do with the structure of the car and its all COSMETIC! goddamn assholes, they almost had me too because i have a silly problem where i trust the people working for me. none of this was my fault, i got hit by somebody else, i should not be paying for any of it. but the insurance company will only pay $1600 (and honestly im surprised they put the value of my car that high), so i would have to pay $250 out of pocket to keep my car from getting totaled by the insurance company. so chris and i are going down to the body shop to give them a piece of our minds...and if need be i'll call my dad and he'll rip them a new one, cause he has been in the car business for over 40 years and knows all too well that they are trying to screw me over.
