Ah I cannot believe this day. I also can't believe that no one is online right now for me to tell about it. I'm looking in your general direction Frank. Ya that's right.
The day started off shit. I had lost hope for my job sitch and my housing sitch after last nights events, and I just didn't know what to do. I looked at pastry jobs anywhere in Canada. As well as what Fairmont on the whole had. I could go work in Dallas if I wanted. After the call from Oya last night, I phone my parents today, and my dad pretty much confirmed that I should explain my situation to JK (Well, he said to take the job, and if I have to, lurk away). I emailed Alex (the catering manager at Jamie Kennedy Kitchens) and explained it. I told him that while I really did want to come work for JK, I didn't want to get into a positon where I took the night job, and then had to leave after a couple of weeks because I got a full time day job. I said to him at the end of the day, I need a new full time job. THEN he emailed me back and told me that he completely sympathized with my situation, and that he may have full time work for me, and I was to phone him! So I did! The line was busy! I left a messege! He phoned me back! He said that the Church st. location needed people in the pastry dept, and perhaps they could work it so that I did a few nights there and did my night with him. So I phoned Rachelle! I'm going in on Sunday! Result!
Calandra and I worked together for the last time tonight. I was very sad. However, our lunch bag of a boss left early (woot) and we dicked around. Graham came and paid us a visit. His dimples are indeed out of control. After work, we went for a drink. Hit up our lovely and magical Irish pub and had the BEST waiter EVER. There were douchey kids all dressed in white and we asked him if he knew the deal with them, and he said he didn't, said he thought polo (we thought cricket or tennis), and that he couldn't serve them on account of the fact that he'd mock them. He's called Steve and was AMAZING. He was cute too. I told him about lube guy. Then he told us about him chatting up girls while drunk. He was my favourite.
When I FINALLY got down to Broadview and Danforth, I saw a night bus coming. I usually get a cab, but I since the bus was there, I went to the stop. And got hit on by the bus driver. He asked me why I was out so late. Asked me what I liked to do for fun. Asked me if I was shy (told him I was. he said something, and then I said that I'd never been hit on by a TTC driver before. He said something again, and I said that most of them were middle aged men. No offence to him. He agreed that it was true). He asked me if he would see me again. I told him I lived on this route so perhaps. He said he was a replacement driver. I told him he'd just have to hope then. Yes, I am suave.
The Cupcakery phoned me to get me in to do a few hours work to see my skillz. I'm gonna have to put that off until I know what the deal is with JK.
Todd messeged me and told me that he was going to karaokee on Sunday. So, if I get down to Guelph, I'm hoping to snag an invite. If not, I've emailed my mate Alys to see if she wants to go stalk Steve.
This guy that I messeged because of my CL lurking emailed me with an awesome email that just capped off the day really. I thought Steve was the topper, but it just kept getting better.
This post really doesn't convey to you how amazing it all was.
