Move in day might be pushed back a couple of weeks. But it's definitely looking like I'll be out of the place by Thanksgiving, and then able to make my own late-thanksgiving Turkey. I will want friends to help me eat it. -

I just took a phone survey, supposedly from the NRA about the UN and their deliberations on gun control. In general, I'm pretty neutral on the gun-rights issue. I think the NRA has a good point, but so do those pushing for tougher gun controls. However, the "survey" was the most propaganda filled piece of shit I have ever heard. -

squash soup
So we have a bumper crop of yellow squash out of my dad's garden, like we do every summer. I'm not really keen on yellow squash (I wouldn't eat it at all until I was at least 18), but I need to figure out ways to cook it. I heard there was a good creamy squash soup with basil, so after consulting the internets I decided to give it a try.
