I found this quote last year on John's birthday and I loved it immediately, I wish I had enough guts to get it tattooed on me, but I doubt I could sit still for that long. It really opened my eyes and put everything into perspective for me. I have it written out on a page tacked up beside my bed so I can read it every morning as soon as I wake up as a way to guide me into each new day. It helps remind me of how this one amazing man put so much change into action through his music and his incredible passion.
I truly wonder what kind of world we would be living in if John were still alive to see this birthday. I wish he hadn't been taken from us, but it's good to know that he is never truly gone, his spirit will live on with us forever.
