Wedding things...

Tony and I are getting married in July, July 10th. That is about 6 months from now. No, we are not having this huge affair at some hotel ballroom, alas, neither we, nor our mommies and daddies can pay for such things, not that we'd want the headache anyway.

There are a few people out there who are so negative, that didn't have even one nice thing to say about it. Happily, they are greatly outnumbered by those who wish us well, and have been overwhelmingly positive.

There's not going to be a huge guest list, and we're just planning on having it here at our new house, after all, it's going to be in July, and if the inside is too crowded, there will be plenty of space outside to go to.

I've found the dress I want, and it's very reasonably priced, as well as bridesmaids' dresses. I think we can pull it off on a very reasonable budget. My question here is...

I am going to use silk flowers to make the bouquets myself, I have done so, on hire for many couples, and my work is great. It's just that especially out here, people tend to look down on using silk flowers, why is that? It's what I want to do, I can make all the flowers for about the price of one deluxe bride's bouquet with live flowers.

I just know that I am very happy about the upcoming wedding. The proposal was a total surprise, I was really expecting to just get a new camera. As long as I am marrying Tony, the rest is not really that important to me. I am definitely NOT a bridezilla.
