Found this on Precision Nutrition and one or two caused me to jawdrop WTF?! Seems like the message is to wean ourselves away from stores and head to the farmer's markets. And be very VERY careful that you read the contents when you see the word "organic"!

Organic companies are small and environmentally friendly.

Veggies are the answer.

Generally I'd agree w/you with one exception: soy. I don't trust how this product is being used. Girls in particular should be careful given the high levels of estrogen. (http://www.healingcrow.com/soy/soy.html) When one food is deemed "the miracle food" ... be afraid. Be very afraid!

...and I agree with you as well.....look what happened to our food with corn!!

I personally had difficulties with soy because of it being a protein and therefore ran into trouble with digesting it well. My doctor said proteins are the first foods to cause problems with difficulty in digestion.

For me, soy was particularly difficult and one of the reasons I've essentially stopped eating it. Though I confess I do get sucked in every now and then and always ALWAYS pay for it! I find that whey protein isolate ... triple water cold filtered (read: most expensive natch!) ... is pretty easy on my system. And I always have to have carbs to help the digestion process. For me that means lots'n'lots of vegetables. Which kinda gets back to what you said first, huh?! ;)

....and I have to thank my daughter for pointing me towards the 'more veggies' mantra!!

One really has to concentrate to figure out what their body needs and how it metabolizes those foods!
