"Shine" arrived on my doorstep last week - the collab between Seth (of
The Altered Page) and Bri (
bri11) - books we created and have been passing back and forth for the last year. They've really gone above and beyond working on these metal pages, a substrate neither is familiar with. Just loving it. And looking forward to our next set of round robins.
Back is still wonky. Any amount of sitting creates a flare up and I'm trying not to - sit around that is - but the weather isn't making it easy. Plus yesterday Stellarella must have eaten something that set her tummy off. Horrible hard bloated stomach. She was SO subdued. Obviously in a world of hurt, though when I touched her she didn't resist. I did some soft massage and that seemed to move things along so by bedtime she was feeling a bit more her bouncy self. I'll tell you. NOTHING more pathetic than a sick puppy. :(
Resisting PN so far. We are moving through the cookbook - baked goods are *meh* which doesn't entirely surprise me. Kind of like trying to convince me that carob is a chocolate substitute. Uhm. No. It's carob. Not even REMOTELY chocolate-like in my POV. So why try? Ya know?? Tom made a Greek burger from the cookbook last night which has feta cheese and black olives mixed w/96% lean beef. OMG. I'm drooling thinking about it for lunch. I'm still having these insane carb cravings which I can't attribute to anything. Maybe the weather. Maybe lower light levels. But seriously. I need to get a handle on those before I commit 100%.
Art is evolving slowly as I moved some of my things into the house. I get frustrated though, wanting X, knowing exactly where it is in the studio but of course NOT something I transferred to the house. I'm trying to view it as a "Challenge" but more than not it's just squashing my creative urge. bleh. We'll see how it works over time.
I'm dreaming about green and not cold. And that's never a good thing when we haven't even reached the middle of winter yet. *sigh* Next winter, I tell myself. NEXT winter.
