Hallo!

So... left off in El Ciego with our American sugar-daddies. We went to back to Laguardia to visit Bodega Ysios, which was very modern, clean, and super-impressive. Learned all kinds of interesting things about which I’m too lazy to write at the moment. I’m beginning to really like wine tastings. Then we headed back to San Seb. Boring drive, but anything beats the bus! Helped the boys find a pensión, then went pintxos hopping with them. I love guys who pay. I always feel guilty letting the guy pay if I actually like them, but I don’t mind with random guys. Random guys who own vineyards in California. Yea, that’s fine. We met up with Connie and Pablo and brought some San Miguels down to the beach. I’m going to miss drinking on the beach at night. Can’t do that in NJ. Went home. Think I’ll email Gary later in the week- he said he would send me his dig pics.

Next day! Saturday the 5th. Don’t remember much about the day, but I think I slept really late and went shopping. Oh, and the beach! I’m loving this whole live-at-the-beach thing. I don’t even have to cross any streets to get there! MMk, so that night was Christina’s party at Mendaur. Super fun! Tons of champagne. I lova da champagne. I talked to Pablo all night because Connie is a terrible girlfried and likes to ignore him. He didn’t seem to mind. Dumb, happy boy. Nice guy. He gave me a copy of an old Gestión Bursátil exam to study! Yay! So eventually we headed over to… Be Bop. Then the other girls wanted to go home, and Connie was heading to Illumbe with some people, but Christina wanted to go to Bataplan. How could people not want to go with her?! It was her friggin birthday!! We decided to stop by my flat first to use the facilities and down some gin & tonic. Drinks are expensive at clubs!! Thanks to San Seb’s liberal drinking laws, we were able to take one for the road (walk?) Bataplan was super fun. That was the first time I had ever been there without a huge group of friends. We had some vodka y limón and hung out on the terrace (right over the beach!) Christina actually jumped over the railing into the sand to get my hair clip for me. We were QUITE tipsy. I know I’m too drunk when I start taking drags of other people’s cigarettes. So… dance, dance, fun fun. It’s always strange to walk out of a club and see the sun. *Sigh* gotta love Spain. Everything that used to make me happy here now makes me sad, because I can’t help but think how much I’m going to miss it. It’s so sad! People are already leaving! Waaaahhh!

Needless to say, I slept through Sunday day. Mary and I went to see El Día de Mañana, then I met up with the girls to watch the sunset. More champagne! Jessica, Christina and I went to McD’s for M&M McFlurries and political discussion.

Monday through Friday of this week isn’t so interesting. Lots o’ studying. Wednesday night was the big birthday dinner for Nathalie and Christina at Restaurante Javier (the same one where we had the welcome dinner.) Then Tas Tas and BeBop. Shady California guys at BeBop made me miss Gary and Russel. Thursday- study group! All the Americans in Economía Mundial got together for a pre-exam “think tank.”

Today was the exam. Not too hard- think I passed. That was the last time that I am certain to see Fran :o( We talked to a little outside the classroom, but nothing exciting. His hair was wet. Only he can make Adidas look dorky. I love him, in an “I’m completely over him” kind of way.

Ooh, forgot to mention- we have 2 new flatmates. YES, 2! From Bolivia and Chile. Seem like nice girls. I have so much trouble making small talk in Spanish. I’m fine once I’m involved in a conversation, but small talk I cannot do. They probably think I’m unfriendly, or just an idiot. Which isn’t entirely untrue. Right now the Mother of Chilean girl (Constanza?) is visiting also, so somos 5 in that tiny flat. The mom seems really nice. And she keeps cleaning!

I need to go home and SLEEP. Too much studying. Need rest. Need ditzy magazines and girly movies. But I really should start studying for Gestión Bursátil- that exam’s gone kick my ass.

Besos!
