42?

So, just got done watching a special on Nostradamus that I recorded over the Christmas/New Year Holiday.  In the special, they kept referring to this lost book which had these drawings.  Remarkably, or unremarkably, the images were quite familiar to me.  A wheel, a book, an angel, a bull, an eagle, a lion, a star, a sun, a moon.  All symbols that I have seen repeated over and over in my Tarot decks.  Now, I realize that I am not the first person to come to this conclusion, however, my curiosity has been piqued.

I really get into shit like this.  Where the symoblogy originated and what it means to other people, and who exactly are the freemasons, and why does their symbology look like ours, (haha, I'll show you mine if you show me yours)?  And how can four or five different religions keep using the same symbols?  Coincidence?  I think NOT!

Is the journey of the fool not a journey of a single person, but of humanity?

Does anyone know of any good books that delve into this fascinating subject?  Sometimes, my brain gets hungry.
