I am in New York reading the paper over breakfast and rediscovering the sophistication and logic of American politics: "In a speech last April, Republican congressional nominee Glen Urquhart said: 'Do you know, where does this phrase 'separation of church and state' comes from? It was not in Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists...The exact phrase 'separation of church and state' came out of Hitler's mouth, that's where it comes from. So next time your liberal friends talk about the separation of church and states, ask them why they're Nazis.'"
.
Or I'll simply note that they appreciate their First Amendment rights.
