Almost end of the semester!

This past semester has been super crazy and very busy. With work, internship, and of course the dreded classes I have stayed occupied for majority of the time. So that means no time to hang out with friends, see family, or do other college related things. I could make time to do all of these things but when i get home after 12 or 13 hours of being away from home I really just want to sit down browse the internet maybe play a game or too and just plain relax. Living in Lakeland (mostly staying with jon in plant city) has something to do with that too. I hate driving again once i'm at home and especially a long distance to see any of my friends. But the good things are coming!

It's about that time a year again where everything starts winding down and sanity can start in again. I have tried registering for my last class ever before I get my degree, but some complications have arised and they are being taken care of. Through it all I have found out that I will be interning in the 1st grade at Socrum Elementary School in the Northside of Lakeland. It's a drive up there, but I think it will be better than the drive to Tampa every day. I'm very excited that I've gotten 1st grade, now i'll have experience in all the grade levels before I go out and teach for real! I'm so glad that graduation is right there, though to me it is all very sureal and I can't believe that it is finally happening. I've been in college for almost 5 complete years now and it's going to be weird that it's "over." I will of course be coming back to get my masters, eventually. I can't wait to finally move out and be on my own, it will be a very good experience I think. I'm ready to move in with Jon and be able to make the apartment a place that I can live in.

Next semester is going to be tough, I'm not going to have any money and I'll probably have to get a loan from the bank to pay bills, but that's not to say that I'm not excited about doing my internship. I'll finally be able to do what I love every day. Though the idea of doing it for free isn't something I look forward to, it will be fun none the less. Since I already know my grade level I can start looking for things to do with them while i'm there, i'll start gathering lesson plans and activities to make my time there fun for them. Next semester will probably have some other very exciting events in it, ones that I don't want to talk about now incase something arises and things don't turn out how I want them too. But i'll just say that i'm super excited and I can't wait!!!!!

Other news, the midterm election just passed, I of course voted, as I think every american should do. It doesn't matter if you don't like any of the candites there are other things on the ballet that you should vote for or against (not doing so is how stupid admendments get passed and dumbasesss get elected). It doesn't take much time or effort to research a little about what's going on and take that 5 minutes to voice your opinion as small as it may be. You think that one vote won't matter but it's you thousands of people that think that their vote doesn't matter that don't come out here to vote and then it does matter!!! (does that make sense?) So go vote, it takes 5 fucking minutes, that's it!

Anyways, the democrates have turned the house over and now they are the majority. Thank goodness! This great nation needed some change. I hope that it is a change for the good and that we can finally get back out of debt much like clinton did for us almost 8 years ago.

You know, I never much cared for politics, much like many college students, but I think when I decided to be a teacher and I noticed how things were passed that I felt were stupid and unneeded I realized that I needed to care. How people vote will determine how our education system is run, how much our taxes are and where they are being used, and policies that can greatly affect our living.

Caren came to visit, I didn't get to see her much, I understand she's busy with family and stuff like that which is okay. She called monday to hang out but i missed the call and didn't get it until like midnight, a little to late. :( Oh well I guess i'll see her again in another year or so. Hopefully sooner, I can't wait until she comes home for good! I miss her!

Erin and I have been hanging out more lately which is awesome, I really miss her too. We used to hang out all the time, her hosue was like my second home and then I moved away to college. We still kept in touch but never saw each other much. Much like caren too, these two people we can not see or talk to each other for months at a time and when we do it's just like we saw each other yesturday. It's great, and I'm so glad to have these people in my life. They are wonderful people. But now we are trying to hang out once every weekend, which for the past 3 weeks has worked, so hopefully this sunday we will do the same again! We have gone to Picasso's cup twice and I have made two awesome thing! I'll post pictures of them when I get them. My favorite is a mug I painted, it's just awesome!

Well i've typed enough for now. Sorry it's long :) But now it's back to the grind of school
