Everything Happens For a Reason

"Everything happens for a reason"
encompasses all things in life.
Don't waste time
on negative emotions
or issues.. that dispel serenity.
Real love will never
require you to change
or transform your true identity.
There's no shame
in a failed relationship.
Soulmates are quite difficult to find.
Divorce courts are full of the once hopeful,
whose love has irrevocably declined.
This doesn't mean
that either one's defective,
or unlovable,
or lacking in any way.
Time's passing has simply proven
that what you did have..
wasn't meant to last forever
and a day.
Relationships are like songs..
so exciting..
when we find one
that we can't get enough of.
But when it's all that you play..
day after day..
the excitement
gradually seems to fade away.
The fact that it no longer captivates us,
doesn't indicate any lack of quality.

and this union just wasn't meant to be.
