Wow I haven't posted in a long time.
I'm sure there is lots to post about but I'm gonna rant.
This is the I f*ing hate the Home Depot rant, you can tell I hate cause I'm not even calling it homo depot.
So apparently full time associates are not allowed to take time off for a full year according to Home Depot policy, which I think is bullshit. Which of course they didn't tell me before entering into the full time receiving position. I told my Department Supervisor when I switched into the new department that I intended to take time off in august and for christmas and he said that there was no problem. I went to HR to put in a request for time off form, and they checked the time off book, said it looks good, no one else in receiving has time booked off for August. Mentioned nothing of the one year or the apparent black out time in August. So I get a call from Laura, the operations assistant store manager shortly after I get there, she's calling to tell me my request for time off has been denied because full time associates can't take time off for a year, home depot policy, also two other receivers has time requested off for August, the last three weeks of August are blackout because of inventory which happens september tenth, and something about the budget of full time associates taking time off was already set for that year. Whatever that means. Its such bullshit. I saw the time off calendar for August and saw one name on it, and guess what, it was the third week of august, one supposed to be a blackout period. Also there are only four receivers and none of them have time booked off yet.
I'm so pissed.
