While I may not agree with the idea that it's "nature's defense mechanism against over-population", gay/bi/lesbian is a biological thing. You think these people sit here and decide, "OH... today I want to be openly lesbian so I can have slurs yelled at me. Maybe tomorrow I'll be straight... But right now, I really like the idea of people hating me for nothing more than my sexual preference."
It is not a choice. I do not sit here every day and say, "I think I want to be bi. Yes, bi is good. I want to be something where my family could possibly disown me if they found out and my friends could shun me if I were to tell them." I'm not ashamed of what I am, but I didn't choose to be this way. I didn't choose to have the possibility where my parents would never speak to me again if I were to tell them that, hey... Ladies are kinda sexy.
So... in all truth, I believe 100% that it is a biological thing. Just because most gays/bi/lesbians choose to accept who they are, doesn't mean they chose to be this... They'd be this way regardless, whether they accept themselves or not is the problem.
I'm sorry if I just lectured your ears off... But that's just something that ticks me off. Who in their right mind would CHOOSE to be discriminated against?
No one would choose to be discriminated against true. I dunno teenagers sometimes have a lot of doubt when it comes to sexuality, it's just something that happens with growing up. It doesnt bother me at all really, it's up to the person, so long as they dont go on and on about it, because it can get a bit tedious. if you like girls or guys, or both, fair enough, now lets talk about something else..
That's a good lad. No one chooses it. It's how they are born. It's a malfunction of the more popular 'straight' part in the brain. Teenagers do go through alot of sexual confusion. Some test things that they grow to learn is not part of themselves. Some test things and like it. The teenage years are the years that all of that confusion comes into place as is experimented with and tested. Many teens just try to be cool. I'm didn't post that because of only teens but anyone who is GLBT or agrees or disagrees. It's just my point of view along with some proven facts on a subject I am willing to stand up for.
