so then, i missed my 8 o'clock so i'm going to try and talk my way into the 9 o'clock section since i didn't go on monday either. we'll see if this works.
for the record, i'm so sick of brahms right now i could staple my foot to the ceiling. i don't really want to put too much subtext in, but when you're singing the German Requiem in choir, studying it in theory, and quizzing from it in aural skills... it gets a bit old. sorry, mr. brahms. i blame the institution.
so all that's left this semester is a research paper and a barrier. the barrier let me know if i can continue as a music major. fun stuff. 3 italian, 2 german, and 1 french. i should have this stuff memorized already... oops. as for the research paper... oh me oh my. i dreamt that i changed my topic and turned the paper in already. not true. i still have to explore the socio-political influences of avant garde jazz in the 1960s-70s. ornette, cecil, coltrane... where art thou?
oh yeah... i'm going to minor in spanish now, as well. is that crazy? i didn't take it in highschool, but they'll pay you more in some districts to have bilingual certification. i'm all for that, and it'd be nice to challenge the brain with something other than music for a bit.
