Free Comics!
There's a comic book store less than a block from where I work. Popped out between breaks for a remote to go to something cooler than whatever it was we were advertising.
Picked up The Guild, and then wandered around for a bit trying to see if they had a Buffy one. I left thinking they didn't and then received a bit of a shock when I pulled my Guild comic out of the bag and found Buffy staring at me.
The Guild was quite good. First Guild comic I've read. It almost makes me want to check out the rest of them. I do like The Guild very much, but I think I like my money more.
Buffy was...meh. I figured it was free and I was there anyway, I may as well take a peak at how the story has progressed since season 8. This was surprisingly tricky to follow. There were the bugs on the ship, and then talk of other bugs to spray, and then the zombie-bug-pire or whatever the hell it was. Really twisty. What's more, it wasn't really something that made me think, "Wow, I might want to pick up the other Buffy books."
Good haul though.
I got The Guild, which is also Buffy.
And I also grabbed the Sonic one.
And even bought Sonic #236.
I haven't read these yet. I've actually been reading the older issues of Sonic lately (my Uncle Nefarious got me digital copies) and I'm a bit worried that these new ones might spoil me. (I'm up to issue #89 of the old ones, and I like to squee about them at SonicMarathon.tumblr.com )
