In 'Day of the Moon' we hear (what I'm refering to as) Melody's Theme* for the first time. It plays during the regeneration scene at the end.
Ah, but the first time we hear it is in The Impossible Astronaut. At the Doctor's funeral... (Are we saying there's a connection between Ben and Glory River and the Doctor's death?)

I'm not the only one who thought Lorna Bucket was going to turn out to be River, right? I mean, I'm not just an idiot; that was a deliberate mislead, right?
I KEPT waiting for that reveal, and then when she died I expected her to regenerate, but she didn't... Re-watching it, I realised that her purpose is to show what the Doctor's become, joining the army to meet him and all that. (Unless there's more to it. Darn it Moffat, I'm suspicious of EVERYTHING!)

I think he will find her BECAUSE of the regeneration.
I was thinking that too. :)

Hmmm. I can hear it in the vocals, but I'm not sure if I'm hearing it in the instruments.

Here's the best version I could find of the theme in 6x07 (still about a minute shorter than I think it should be): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0b7zdMWKa0

Emmie thinks so. It does seem possible.

Darn it Moffat, I'm suspicious of EVERYTHING!

Another fine motto for the show.

I'm sure to go insane over the hiatus.

I think you're right. But the 'song' is so beautifully haunting that it rather leaped out at me... (The connection is not a bad thing, oh noes.)

I'm sure to go insane over the hiatus.
You know, I'm kinda grateful for it? I sorta need a rest. (Thanks for the link to Emmie post - will check out later.)
