(no subject)
i just got back from india yesterday. i've missed this place (and some people) so much it's unbelievable.
i've been wearing glasses since i was 6..and i didnt realize how much of a pain it was til college. i mean..how lame is it that i gotta put my glasses on , on a saturday morning just to lay in bed and watch cartoons or something? well anyways, a month or two before we went to india, i was joking around and asked my dad if i could get laser eye surgery while we were india..(there's this extremely wonderful eye doctor there that's a friend of my dads). he surprisingly said that we'll go see his friend and see if he'll approve it or not and if he did then sure. well the doctor said "meera's a perfect candidate for lasic surgery".. so with that, i now have 20/20 vision and no need for glasses or contacts, just some lubricating eye drops a few times a day for the next three months and thats it.! it's so great!
anyways, this was the my first trip to india that me,both my sisters, and both my parents actually all went together on. it was kind of weird but alright over all. we saw a bunch of pretty cool stuff, the coolest of course being the taj mahal (as stereotypical as it is). it was amazing. as soon as you see it, you have to pinch yourself to come to realize that you're not dreaming and that it's real and convince yourself that you're not looking at a postcard.
