Movies

We've seen several movies recently so I thought I might share my thoughts on them.
After being in San Francisco we thought we'd see some movies filmed in San Francisco. This included Romeo Must Die and The Rock. Both were action films with all kinds of fighting and things blowing up. They were fun to see since we could recognize the places in the movies.
In continuation of seeing movies from the 90's we saw 12 Monkeys. This was a really good science fiction/thriller movie. It wasn't scary, but intriguing. The attention to detail in that movie was phenomenal. I did not understand many things about the movie, even after the movie was over. I was glad for all the comments online though, they gave some more insight to the movie and some things made more sense. I also realized then how much of the detail was intentional. It was a really good movie with an interesting take on time travel.
We saw all three Spiderman movies for the first time within a few weeks of each other. I think they were all about equally enjoyable. The third movie was very predictable. They were all simple and fun to watch - certainly not thought provoking or memory lasting (except for one scene that quite upset me).
It was funny how when we were watching the movies from the 90's we didn't feel that they were 10 year old movies. They seemed to have about the same quality as movies coming out today. I suppose they weren't trying to make any crazy computer graphic effects, but the quality of generic movies today hasn't significantly improved in the last 10 years. Although, we weren't watching these on a big screen high definition TV.
