Which other shows do you watch/fandoms are you in? Oh, wow, sooo many XD! Not a lot right now, because most shows are on hiatus, but at the moment I'm just focusing on the end of Atwt and True Blood. I love the Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, Lost, Prison Break, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, The Office US, etc. The list kind of goes on and on, but lately I've been watching a lot less tv. I'm pleasantly surprised you've seen it, since it's such an underrated show. I only finished watching it a couple of months ago and I'm still heart-broken that it was cancelled after only 20 episodes.

As for Glee, I have irreconcilable differences with a couple of characters and with the way the writers handle the romance department in general, but I'll sit through almost anything just for Kurt (Chris Colfer), with whom you might be familiar from all the .gifs I (and others) spam lure_atwt with. XP

So much so that I only want them to wind up together in the end for the sake of their children!

Wow, I didn't know it was actually available for purchase! Is it in book or video format?! It’s an actual book, with articles, amendments, a glossary etc. XD! And it’s hilarious!! Yes. =( And it was especially unfortunate that S2 had to air the year of the infamous writers' strike. The infamous writers’ strike… The year when every show sucked, got cancelled or went off the air for weeks at a time. I don’t remember what it was about, just that it was ridiculous and annoying, lol. I haven't bothered checking out the details on that (yet?), but I've heard it was a pretty controversial dismissal. Then again, that seems to be a bit of a rule with Grey's Anatomy (Isaiah Washington, anyone? LOL)... Her dismissal had something to do with the writers not knowing what to do with her character or something, which was weird and ridiculous, because a writer is supposed to come up with storylines for a certain character and she had just started a relationship with Callie. It's sad how TPTB seem to be convinced that interesting drama can only spring from romantic triangles. I mean, it made sense at first, but this time around it's just trite and - again - contrived. I wish we could have seen Luke & Reid engage in a different type of conflict at this particular juncture. Such as, IDK, Luke's family bringing up the issue of their age difference or something like that.
I think a big part of it is performance anxiety.

I mean, it made sense at first, but this time around it's just trite and - again - contrived. I wish we could have seen Luke & Reid engage in a different type of conflict at this particular juncture. Such as, IDK, Luke's family bringing up the issue of their age difference or something like that. And the weird thing is, that it’s more a “triangle” of Reid/Luke/Noah’s memory, than Reid/Luke/Noah. And then, it’s still more a love story than a triangle. But, yeah, I think a differenty type of conflict would have been better as well. Oh, what could have been… I’m surprised that no one has questioned the age difference between Luke and Reid. There’s like a 12 or 13-year difference, right? Luke is 22/23 and I think Reid is only supposed to be in his mid-thirties, because he’s supersmart and probably skipped a grade or two. Keeping in mind that my preferences are almost exclusively based on Nuke + LuRe-related scenes because I don't watch the rest of ATWT, my favourites - other than Reid & Luke, of course - are: Casey, Alison (even though, of course, I wanted to stab her on Tuesday!), pre-character-assassination!Vienna, 2007!Maddie, 2007!Henry, 2006!Lucy, Brian, Will, Lucinda, Holden, Jack, Carly. And I have to say Reid's scene with Molly single-handedly 'redeemed' her for me!

Part 2/2 =) I was just discussing this with starryeyedmagic yesterday... As somebody who was once one of them, I do, too. Mainly for the character development Noah never really got. It’s especially sad, because Reid got SO much character development in a few months and there’s just no comparing the two of them. I also feel bad for the Nukies, because the writers have put so much effort into establishing Reid’s character and having him interact with all of Oakdale, which Noah never did. And Reid has also been in episodes without Luke, which I don’t think ever happened for Noah. I definitely think that, had the show continued, Reid would have stayed and Noah would have been phased out or something.

I love the Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, Lost, Prison Break, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, The Office US, etc. The list kind of goes on and on, but lately I've been watching a lot less tv.

I came home about TWO minutes after the episode :(. So I was a little pissed, but I watched the scenes later and I figured, that I didn't really miss a lot anyway. I'm not too happy with Luke turning away from Reid the way he did, but I liked everything else, like the talk they had and the kiss<3333.

You can basically skip s4 of Grey's, lol XD. The show gets better in S5, with a few storyline-exceptions. And I thought S6 was alright, but the S6 finale was mindblowing and EPIC.
DH is always on my "The show's alright, but I don't really mind when I miss an episode or two"-list XD. I like the show, but I've never been all that devoted to it.

Like I wrote somewhere else, every time I see that part, I have to cover my face and watch it through my fingers like a 6-yr-old watching a horror movie, LOL. It was almost physically painful to watch for me, since I'm irrationally protective of Reid.

I still have mixed feelings about it: I totally understand Luke's reticence re: The Sex because it's very much in character (which isn't to say that I don't despise TPTB's rampant homophobia...) and I wouldn't want him to go all the way with Reid unless he's 100% sure.

I think I know what you mean. I've also made peace with it and I've been trying not to worry about it, but I have this nagging feeling that Reid is going to end up being the "Molly" in the Luke/Reid/Noah-triangle. For instance, Holden does love Molly, but she's not Lily, so he keeps going back to Lily. I don't want it to be like that. And, the only way they could make me hate Reid, would be if they suddenly turned him into an axe murderer... And then I'd still like him to end up with Luke XD.

So much so that I only want them to wind up together in the end for the sake of their children!

The infamous writers’ strike… The year when every show sucked, got cancelled or went off the air for weeks at a time. I don’t remember what it was about, just that it was ridiculous and annoying, lol.
I haven't bothered checking out the details on that (yet?), but I've heard it was a pretty controversial dismissal. Then again, that seems to be a bit of a rule with Grey's Anatomy (Isaiah Washington, anyone? LOL)...
Her dismissal had something to do with the writers not knowing what to do with her character or something, which was weird and ridiculous, because a writer is supposed to come up with storylines for a certain character and she had just started a relationship with Callie.

Well, since I’ve only really liked Luke since Reid showed up, Reid has always been my favorite of the two. I think Luke is a decent mix of Lily, Damian and Holden. Right before Reid, he’d become mostly Lily (All the whining) and Damian (Blackmailing Reid), but now I’m starting to see the parts of Holden, like the way he stands up for himself and his honesty. The parts of Holden, before they shot Holden’s character to hell, anyway XD. Now I keep rolling my eyes during Lilden-scenes, because a) I really did love Molden and I’ve always loved Molly (She used to be a whole lot better), b) the Lilden endgame is so ridiculous and contrived and all that. And I really hope the writers have enough sense not to ruin LuRe by making Luke act as ridiculous as his parents. Up until now, Luke has shown little romantic interest in Noah, but I’m afraid the writers are going to have Luke be all wishy-washy and torn again. The triangle should be over by now. Luke chose REID!!!!!

I think a big part of it is performance anxiety. Or, maybe I’ve been reading too many fanfics, LOL! But I don’t think Luke meant for it to come out the way it did. Maybe he just doesn’t understand well enough that everything he says or does has an effect on Reid.

The thought of Nuke is in the back of my mind all the time. Or more like, the FEAR of Nuke. Because despite the fact that the LuRe-fanbase is pretty huge and LuRe beats Nuke in almost every damn poll and whatnot, Nuke has the history and the so-called “supercouple” status for some people, whether I agree with that status or not. And I do feel bad for Nuke fans, but the fact that Nuke had three years and LuRe only had eight months, doesn’t give Nuke dibs on endgame. That doesn’t mean that they deserve it more than LuRe.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: at this point, I'd rather see Luke alone or with Casey, LOL than back with Noah. And when if he does go back to him, I'll be forced to say they truly deserve each other, ugh.

Right before Reid, he’d become mostly Lily (All the whining) and Damian (Blackmailing Reid), but now I’m starting to see the parts of Holden, like the way he stands up for himself and his honesty.
I have to agree, especially after today.
The parts of Holden, before they shot Holden’s character to hell, anyway XD.

It's sad how TPTB seem to be convinced that interesting drama can only spring from romantic triangles. I mean, it made sense at first, but this time around it's just trite and - again - contrived. I wish we could have seen Luke & Reid engage in a different type of conflict at this particular juncture. Such as, IDK, Luke's family bringing up the issue of their age difference or something like that.
I think a big part of it is performance anxiety.
But I don't know that I do. I'm still horribly confused by last week's episode.
And I also think that Luke is pretty close to being ready. I think it was hard for him to stop even then, after that one kiss.
This, on the contrary, I actually believe.

Because despite the fact that the LuRe-fanbase is pretty huge and LuRe beats Nuke in almost every damn poll, Nuke has the history and the so-called “supercouple” status for some people.
Sadly, I agree. I mean, I'll keep on voting for our boys until my fingers fall off, but I kind of checked all hope at the door weeks ago. [/debbiedowner]

the fact that Nuke had three years and LuRe only had eight months, doesn’t give Nuke dibs on endgame. That doesn’t mean that they deserve it more than LuRe.

CaLuRe fics are the only threesomes I've read that didn't make me cringe all through them. (Threesome fic is usually a big turn off for me, oddly enough...) I still prefer LuRe, though.

Reid is now (read: after today's episode) officially one of my all-time favourite tv characters. Like, EVVVER.

My current favorites include Reid (obviously), Carly, Paul (when he’s sane), Molly (when she’s not crying), Luke (which is pretty surprising to me XD), Casey and Will. I also kind of like Faith, Emily, Jack and Holden, but this changes bi-weekly, lol. Characters I can’t stand: Katie (Never liked her, only like her with Reid and kind of liked her with Brad), Kim, Margo, Lily, Janet and Liberty XD. And what about you?
And I knooooow, Reid was SO awesome on Monday =). He’s such a good man, trying to help Chris and his speech was made of WIN. And the couch-cuddling and the passionate kiss and awwwww….. Didn’t really like the Tuesday-episode, but the kiss kind of made up for that. But more on that later on ;).

I think Luke is soooo over Noah. He didn’t really look all that upset when Alison (grrrrrr) told him that Noah’s moving away. I half-expected Luke to start crying or something, but he remained surprisingly calm, as if he really was just upset about his FRIEND Noah moving away. And later, he told Reid that HE is the one he wants to be with <333. My jaw dropped when Reid turned him down, but I did understand. I hate what Chris is doing to Reid. Reid is so worried about Katie and all that, that he can’t even enjoy his date with Luke. Also very angry at Alison. I know she didn’t do a lot, but still, LUKE WAS ON A DATE WITH HIS BOYFRIEND, ALISON!!!!!

And the weird thing is, that it’s more a “triangle” of Reid/Luke/Noah’s memory, than Reid/Luke/Noah. And then, it’s still more a love story than a triangle. But, yeah, I think a differenty type of conflict would have been better as well. Oh, what could have been…
I’m surprised that no one has questioned the age difference between Luke and Reid. There’s like a 12 or 13-year difference, right? Luke is 22/23 and I think Reid is only supposed to be in his mid-thirties, because he’s supersmart and probably skipped a grade or two. But you’d think someone *cough* LILY *cough* , would have said something by now.

No, I haven't. Even though I can guess from the general mood over at lure_atwt that it doesn't bode well for us at all, I'm trying to stay as spoiler-free as I possibly can in order to at least enjoy the good parts, if it makes any sense. I really appreciate you asking me. =)

Keeping in mind that my preferences are almost exclusively based on Nuke + LuRe-related scenes because I don't watch the rest of ATWT, my favourites - other than Reid & Luke, of course - are: Casey, Alison (even though, of course, I wanted to stab her on Tuesday!), pre-character-assassination!Vienna, 2007!Maddie, 2007!Henry, 2006!Lucy, Brian, Will, Lucinda, Holden, Jack, Carly. And I have to say Reid's scene with Molly single-handedly 'redeemed' her for me!

Like I said, I wanted to stab her when she told him Reid might not be the right guy for him, but now that I've had time to calm down and think it over, it doesn't bother me as much anymore. Mainly because I love the idea of LuRe being starcrossed lovers; it only adds to their epicness.

NGL, the fact that he keeps on mentioning him when not strictly necessary does bother me, but I agree with you on that. I did get simple 'friend vibes' from that scene, too.

Yeah, me, too. Mainly because I know it's going to turn around and bite Reid in the ass; which drives me insane because I still maintain it could be chalked up to doctor-patient confidentiality, but of course they're going to use it as an excuse to put our Reidykins in a bad light. XP
And the only way they could make me care about Reid/Chris would be by making Luke suspicious and jealous, which is clearly not going to happen. The R/C exchange in the men's room was pretty lolarious, though.

It’s especially sad, because Reid got SO much character development in a few months and there’s just no comparing the two of them. I also feel bad for the Nukies, because the writers have put so much effort into establishing Reid’s character and having him interact with all of Oakdale, which Noah never did. And Reid has also been in episodes without Luke, which I don’t think ever happened for Noah. I definitely think that, had the show continued, Reid would have stayed and Noah would have been phased out or something.

THIS. Like I told starryeyedmagic, I kind of wished they would elaborate on the Noah/Dusty relationship, but of course the writers forgot about it almost immediately after establishing it.
I definitely think that, had the show continued, Reid would have stayed and Noah would have been phased out or something.
I like to think so, too. If anything because, regardless of his relationship with Luke, Reid has so much more potential as a soap character.
