So, almost two weeks later, I finally got a chance to look through the pictures that we took when my family came down to visit for the weekend of the half-marathon at the Magic Kingdom. Here's some highlights:
The first crop of pictures are from our visit to Universal on Saturday, the day before the race:
Me, my uncle, and my cousin at the entrance to Universal's Islands of Adventure.
The next few pictures are just some scenery shots of Seuss's Landing and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Their attention to detail on Hogwart's was amazing:
And here's a picture of me and my lady with Hogwart's in the background.
Me and my uncle in Jurassic Park. Next time, we'll actually have to go into the Visitor's Center.
On the streets of Hogsmeade.
Me outside the cauldron shop. I would also like to add that I had three people comment on my Gargoyles shirt. I'll definitely have to wear it again on our next trip to one of the theme parks.
And we all tried some butterbeer. I don't know what was in the topping, but whatever it was didn't melt in the sun.
Me and Steph in front of Hogwart's Express.
Me outside of Hogwart's right after we all went on the ride, which was awesome.
And the next few pictures are from Sunday, the day of the Disney Princess Half Marathon:
A picture of the start/finish line. Notice how dark it is because it was five-thirty in the fucking morning! :p
Though this picture of Epcot lit up was pretty damn awesome.
My aunt and my cousin at the four-mile mark.
Followed later by mom (on the left, with the brown hair) and Aunt Peg.
Here's everyone later at the finish line. All four of the racers bought tiaras, which we presented to them when they finished:
All four of the racers back at the house they rented, after the race. From left to right: mom, Maureen (my cousin), and mom's sisters, Aunt Peg and Aunt Mary.
And finally, here's me, Steph, and mom.
Next year, we'll have to get more pictures of some of the costumes. Steph's camera is a lot better at capturing moving subjects than mine is (or was).
