time for an update i suppose, although nothing terribly exciting since the last one...
it was hotter than hell last week in the factory and it's looking like this week will be about the same. thank god it's my last week. i'm having the ladies i work with over for a cookout friday evening, should be entertaining. i think i'm gonna miss them and the halarity.
emily and i ran the moonlight chase friday. she beat me (of course) =) but that's just fine. i did 4.3 miles in 43 minutes. ryan and my dad walked 3 of the 4.3 miles or so. i made it through most of it without much knee pain, but whoa did it come on strong when i got home! i thought i'd loosened it and stretched it out when i got in the pool afterwards, but as soon as i climbed out it was clear that didnt happen. arg. im not sure why ive been having pain the past couple weeks....
did a good deed, saved a shrew from drowning. we swam in the dark and kept throwing leaves out and ryan went to throw another and was like "wow that's a really big leaf"... "uh, i think the leaf is moving"... "ok the leaf is moving really fast"... "turn the light on, i dont know where it went!!" hehe i scooped it out with a bucket and threw it out somewhere in the yard. i thought he was joking at first too.
saturday i sat around, iced my knee, painted my nails, etc. then got ready and went to ryan's 4th cousin's (right?) wedding. it was a nice wedding, a little to casual for my liking, but overall nice and pretty. changed into less formal clothes for the reception, had some decent food. it was what my mom calls a "crockpot wedding", where all the family fixes all the food. drank lots of beer and some tasty hooch. talked to eli for a while, did the electric slide, chicken dance, etc. danced with lexi a bunch, had a good time but my knees hurt.
today i got up and went to church, then went over to my moms and had lunch with her and my aunt who's in town from st. louis. came home and dozed off and on during the brickyard 400...er rather the stupid allstate 400 AT the brickyard. rediculous. tony stewart won, which was exciting and really cool for him since he's from indiana, columbus specifically.
well that's about it. i'm trying to get things in order for the big move coming up next week. looks like i should be running out of money soon, so that's even more exciting considering all the shit i need to buy for the apartment. oh well.
oh i'm going to
farm aid in september with ryan and maybe emily? im pumped.
ok that is all. almost time for bed. stupid work.
love,
kat
