My To Do List
My To-Do List...disregard if you want
*Look on pcworld/pcmagazine for good registry cleaner, dvd software and any other recent software comparisons they have done
*Fix icons with iconpackager and if I need to, resource hacker
*Change system32.dll icons
*Disable windows file protection for the xerox, frontpage and other folders
*Find out where the paths for Adobe, EAGames, and Madden 2003 folders are and switch them from My Documents. Make sure games still work. Also find no-cd patch for Madden 2003.
*Check to see if there is an updated crack for NHL 2003...if so install and test
*Organize left hand start menu into the programs I don't use and games...rank ordered of course. Add/Delete some things from ObjectDock (Add AdAware)
*Install C & C Renegade and Generals into their respected folders and add them to the start menu
*Find out of there is a way to automate AdAware scans/updates
*Look for updated LoginUIBootRandomizer...find cracks for iconworkshop, microangelo 5.57...etc.
*Install OnDisplay (Part of Microangelo...hopefully it will let me just install OnDisplay and not Microangelo with it)
*Find out if I can use the Winamp2 DFX Plugin with QCD Player...if so download the plugin from DFX website and find a crack for it
*Find out when StarDock Central is coming out and when it does, replace Component Manager with that. Also download WindowBlinds 4 when it comes out...assuming it has some decent skins.
*See if there is a way to configure Ad-Watch to NOT close opera when it finds a popup
*See if there is a crack for the newest version of AdSubtract Pro. Possibly purchase it? (Assuming its still the best ad-blocking program)
*Get and copy Norton 2003 from Keith
*Install drivers for my 4-port usb2.0 hub
*Decide whether to install windows media player 9 or not
*Get list of drivers on my computer and add them to my favorites
*Save favorites, start menu for my login name and for all users and other things in a "things to check when you format" .zip file
*Clean up My Distributable Files and other folders (My Pictures etc) folder
*Put rest of essential folder icons on desktop and get rid of them from objectdock *until they start working...*
*See if there is a way to maximize windows using arguments in objectdock. *See if we can right-align the icons on the desktop (like on macs)
*See if we can get the cd icons to show up on the desktop when a cd is inserted...if not a normal icon of the cd drives will do
*See if I can get QuickNotes to work on my desktop
*Update profile and install in Trillian. Make sure trillian changes my locally echoed name to "Mark" and my profiles to what I want them to and most of all SAVE THE SETTINGS inbetween me logging on/off. Also back up buddies.xml, my stuff.xml and settings.xml.
*Change smilies in trillian and their xml code
*Find icon folder, extract the mac icon files and convert them all. Categorize Icons.
*Find more and organize Swish and Photoshop themes
*Install samurize and see if I can make a config with simple images to use on my desktop. Compare the memory usage of CoolMon to Samurize.
*Get EmEditor and CoolMon Plugins folder from my moms computer and copy it to my computer. Install the plugins, configure them, and update Distributable Files as necessecary
*Write installation instructions for the harder programs (games etc) for those Distributable Files
