Things to think about

Mar 19, 2008 17:58

When I was in 8th grade, I was taking Spanish in school. My Spanish teacher, Señora Saillard was heavily pregnant, and wound up going on maternity leave for most of the Spring. She had her baby, her first, and a girl, 2 days after St. Patrick's Day. March 19th, 1990. I remember all these details for a variety of reasons and related anecdotes, one of which being that she lived just a few houses away from me, among others. But, the point it, I just realized that today is that girl's 18th birthday.

Wow. I was in 8th grade 18 years ago, and I am still in school. Granted, I know some of you are still in school also, and even some of them are older than I am, but still. I am feeling old today.

Peripheral anecdotes to follow later. Right now I have to go load a gel.

No worries,
Matt
