For Winter Holiday, I am getting myself a new phone, as the PalmOS is headed to its grave and I can't get the dang Treo to work with my carrier quite right anymore. What about waiting for the new Google phone that's supposed to come out very soon? Rumor has it that it ships unlocked, so you can just reuse your old SIM.

Because for various reasons, I am actually at a point where I need to upgrade stat. Plus, there's *always* something better right around the corner next week; this is technology.

Of course there's always something new. It's just that at least one of the handsets you're considering is, thanks in part to the upcoming article, is something old.

That said, I don't know whether it has a keyboard.

Can't write much about the Nexus One on the internetz, and actually I don't know very much, but allow me to say that it's wicked cool and I'm dying to have one. Sadly, not in Israel. :(

I just got a G1 and I can't stop playing with it, but I have to say it is not as sexy as the iPhone. It feels a little brick-like, and just... not the future. But i haven't seen the Cliq, so actually, I have nothing intelligent to add to this conversation.
