I had a great day today. (I really need it cause tomorrow begins the week of wedding torture)
Trey came over to pick me up this morning with a single rose in hand and a big kiss. So adorable. I love sweet unexpected little things. We had to drop off his suit at the dry cleaners (for my brothers wedding). Then we went to his tux fitting for his sisters wedding. Then off to Mississippi to meet the famdamily. I have to admit I was a bit nervous. I had been briefed on the 2 sisters and parents, new niece and nephew, so I was prepared! We pulled into this beautiful subdivision and up to a huge house. Down a long drive way...and immediatly greeted by his siter, mom and Conner (nephew who is almost 2 and has been very sick) His mom gave me a big hug and kiss and acted like she had known me forever....same goes for his sister. I got to meet Dixie, Trey's clepto dog too. We sat down and talked to the family. I was then give free range of Trey's closet and asked to choose which shirt and tie I would like him to wear to the wedding. (Lime green of course, nit really lime). Then I held Olivia while Dana ate. Olivia is soo adorable and so tiny. She is only a few weeks old.
I am amazed that I have never met Trey before. We know so many of the same people. He knows my cousins from school. He knows the black sheep part of my family cause they lived next door to his ex. And the connections go on.
We hung out in Mississippi for a few hours and I met his dad, Dana, Joe, Conner, Olivia, Dixie, Mr. Anthony, and Mrs. Terri oooh and his cousin Ross. His siter that is getting married at the end of the month was headed there but we missed her. So Trey said that we would go back sometime before the wedding so I could meet her. I love his family. That is a major selling point. I like the way he interacts with his niece and nephew, and parents, siblings. I like him even more after all of this. He is a good Catholic, Italian, family boy. Family is a priority. I LOVE that!
We left Mississippi and went to get coffee and then got a bed topper for his uncomfy bed that is in Chalmette. Hope called and asked if we were still on for dancing tonight. We then went to Chalmette, watched Tv, talked, etc, and Trey changed to go out. Hope called again and at this time was having coffee with Robert and Danielle. Trey and I ran to my house so I could change out of my casual clothes...then off to dinner with Hope and Robert.
We went out and met Danielle and Abby out. Danielle and Abby didn't stay long and we decided to relocate. After an hour of Trey and I watching Hope and Robert canoodle...they asked if we were ready to go dance. We said ok....got in the car headed that way and then we got a call saying that they were going to go have some alone time instead.
So back to Chalmette we go to have out own alone time. I can't believe that I am listening to so much country again. I kind of like it, mellow. BTW XM radio is way fun....this is going on the must have list due to Trey. Trey and I talked a lot. I can't believe that I have to go to that bridesmaids thing tomorrow. Trey wanted me to go to Mississippi again tomorrow....but wedding hoopla is taking over.Too bad, I would like to go back and be able to spend more time with his family.
