Be that as it may, this pretty lady was showing me a trick she has learned from her many days on the drive-through safari circuit. She is not, as it may appear, about to bite my head off (though such a gigantic head as mine may have been a temptation), rather she is waiting for me to toss a food pellet into her waiting jaws!
This one in particular seemed to have the system down as the rest of the herd stayed back by the watering hole for the majority of the time.
On the whole I'm not a big zoo fan, but these guys seemed happy, just needed the Jurassic Park soundtrack on to make it complete. Thankfully all of the animals were friendly and there were no baboons to do a recreation of the attack scene from the Omen.
Finished up in the early afternoon and got back to Austin in time for a brief nap before trivia. Crowd was moderate, but we were doing a little less than stellar so I cut out early. Picked up my trade prints from school so that I could sign and number them, now I'm all ready for tomorrow (last regular class day for litho and serigraphy). "Another year gone!" as Dumbledore would say, always makes me a little sad. Oh well, life goes on.
