Moving to California
It's official, I'm moving to the Bay Area in mid-June to live with my grandparents. Yay, free rent! Now if only I can get them to install wireless internet...
My brother and his wife and kid (who's scheduled to be born a week from today) will be staying there too for a while this summer before they get settled on their own. That means I get to play with my little baby nephew who will either be called Marshall or Javier. He's gonna love me to death, I just know it.
I've started my job search early, which might mean I'll have to blow my measly budget on an interview trip down there this month. I sure took my sweet time to find a job when I moved to Seattle, but I've come to see that taking several months of vacation every time I move isn't so great for my finances, though it sure is fun. Oh well.
Helen will be going on a trip of her own to Washington DC in June. She's doing the Formosa Foundation program that Chris did last year and I have an inkling she'll really like it. Then she's heading back to Taiwan to be a super senior. Hopefully she'll be coming back here before I turn into an old woman.
